TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
Molecular Diagnostics
HyBeacons® Assays
HyBeacons assays were invented at LGC in response to the requirement to identify key genetic differences between individuals. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are the most abundant form of genetic variation in humans and have been linked to inherited diseases, disease susceptibility and response to certain medications. |

Aerosol Samplers
DryClone™
The Evogen Dry Cyclone collector is a novel blend of attributes from traditional cyclone separation technology, wetted wall cyclone technology, and SpinCon® technology. It allows an aerosol to be sampled dry for extended periods of time, but then is able to convert this dry sample to liquid enabling it to be compatible with standard methods of particle analysis.

| E-Stat™ Collection Technology
The E-Stat collection technology employs electrostatic precipitation to collect and concentrate solid, biological, and chemical particulate from the air as well as liquid aerosols. The advantages of this electrostatic precipitation are high collection capabilities for very low power input. Additionally electrostatic precipitation can enable sampler configurations that permit a wide range of benefits depending on the target application. |
|
| E-Stat™ Chemical Conversion Technology
E-Stat chemical conversion systems are designed for the purpose of converting airborne chemical particulate materials into air-vapor mixtures in order to permit traditional chemical vapor detection systems to identify low-vapor pressure airborne chemical threats. To perform this function the E-Stat chemical systems combine electrostatic precipitation methods with high temperature volatilization.

|
E-Stat™ Wet Washdown Technology
The purpose of the E-Stat Wet technology is to rapidly capture biological particles contained in the air and suspend them in a liquid at high concentration. Essentially the system converts an ambient aerosol to a controlled hydrosol that is amenable for various biological analyses. |
